I Remember the First Dance
I Remember the First DanceThis painting was created in January of 2017 when I painted 30 Paintings in 30 Days. The inspiration for this painting was the song "Glance". I listened to it over and over as I painted this image. The words "I remember the first dance when I fell in love with you" express the essence of this image. It is painted on Yupo paper with acrylic ink and acrylic paint and measures 10" x 13". Painting to music is something that inspires all my paintings.
The Lion
The LionThis painting was painted In January of 2017 when I was painting 30 paintings in 30 Days. The inspiration for this painting came several months earlier when God gave me a vision during Sunday morning worship at our church. During worship, I saw a lion about inches from my face. I could feel his breath and fur on my face. I was in awe and stood motionless. Then the lion put his paws on my shoulders and I could feel the weight of those paws on my body. The eyes of the lion captured my imagination and I wanted this vision to remain. I later purchased a photograph of a lion that resembled the lion in my vision and put the photograph in my prayer closet. God had my attention. He was speaking of intimacy with Him and courage. So it was with great delight when I began to see the eyes of the lion emerge from the paint as I painted in January of 2017. May this lion also speak to you of God's great love for you. May it impart courage to your heart.
No Longer A Slave To Fear
No Longer A Slave To FearMany of my paintings depict women as they experience the love and freedom that comes from knowing God. This painting is no exception. It was painted during January of 2017 when I painted 30 Paintings in 30 Days. It was inspired by the song "No Longer Slaves" by Bethel Music. It measures 10" x 13" and is painted with acrylic ink and acrylic paint. It was not pre-planned. As I listened to the music and experimented with the paint and inks on the Yupo paper, I eventually saw an image in the paint. This was the image.
